WE WENT FROM HORSE COUNTRY, TO BOURBON COUNTRY.
Hi, we’re the Kellys. As native Marylanders, we were raised surrounded by horse country and enjoying the beauty and bounty of the Chesapeake Bay. Preservation of the resources we call home is in our blood. We’re proud to bring those same principles to our home in Lawrenceburg. And we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve your family.

WE’RE PRESERVING THE LAND ENTRUSTED TO US.
Cherokee Farms uses regenerative farming methods to raise our beef cattle. Regenerative farming is an environmentally sound practice to retain and restore the health of the land we steward. Our livestock roam freely as they would naturally. Natural grazing leads to healthy soil rich in nutrients and organic matter, which in turn feeds our cattle. It’s a healthy, sustainable cycle, just as nature intended.

OUR FREE ROAMING CATTLE ARE HAPPY CATTLE.
Even though we raise our cattle for food, we respect that we’ve been given the responsibility of caring for them. Our regenerative farming practice allows our cattle to live like cattle are meant to, in an open pasture. We graze our herd using a process called rotational grazing. On a regular cycle, our livestock are moved to a fresh pasture to graze, providing them with fresh, hearty grasses and exercise that makes better quality beef.
